Katie Grace Harris, Henderson:Hooper

Katie Grace Harris, Henderson:Hooper
Katie Grace Harris
Best described as earthy, piano accompanied English folk, Katie sings gentle new arrangements of traditional songs alongside raw and exposed original compositions which draw attention to historic stories with a smattering of social justice to temper the mix. Katie has turned her hand to a variety of instruments including piano, whistles, piano Accordion and shruti box. Katie can mostly be spotted playing solo or with various musicians around the folk clubs of the UK.

Fiddle and guitar duo Judith Henderson and Nick Hooper perform self-penned tunes, tunes by contemporary folk musicians including Pete Cooper, John Dipper, Bruce MacGregor and Rob Harbron, and traditional tunes from England, France and Eastern Europe. They have been playing together since 2001, and their first full-length CD Pete's Trees was recorded at Real World Studios and mastered at Abbey Road Studios. It was released in May 2018, before being re-released in December 2018 with the addition of Farewell Aragog, a tune originally written by Nick for the soundtrack to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
